[ 07 ]MVP and prototyping

Test an idea in a few weeks, before investing months in it.

MVPs and working prototypes to validate a product idea with real users, on a small budget and without hidden technical debt.

01What this is

An MVP is the smallest version of your product that lets you learn something true: do people use it, do they pay, what do they ask for next. It's not a demo, and it's not a discount finished product.

I've launched my own products this way. I know what to cut without regret, what to keep no matter what, and how to build a first version that can grow instead of being thrown away.

02What it covers
Framing: the hypothesis to test and how success is measured
Clickable prototype or working MVP, depending on the need
Deliberately reduced scope, sound technical base
Launch, first users, feedback collection
Plan for what's next: what stays, what gets rebuilt
03How I go about it
01

One hypothesis, not a list

We write down the sentence to verify. Anything that doesn't help verify it leaves the scope.

02

Fast, but not dirty

An MVP you have to throw away taught nothing. The base stays clean so version 2 builds on it.

03

In front of real people

The only validation that counts comes from users. We ship early and watch what they do.
